NEW YORK, NEW YORK

On Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018, the Manhattan cohort of the NYDO’s 2018 Emerging Leaders class met for the first time at the Microsoft Technology Center on Times Square. Among this year’s Emerging Leaders in the Manhattan class are a chocolatier, several restaurateurs, three media companies, an architect, a construction estimate company and more. CEOs of these companies also represent several countries – Argentina, Turkey, India, Japan, China and Australia among them. When delivering their elevator pitches, a couple class-members said they were already contracting with the federal government. Many in the room hoped to uncover more procurement opportunities, as well as to develop their three-year growth plans. EDS Man-li Lin supervises the Emerging Leaders program. NYDO DD, Beth Goldberg, welcomed the class and shared her entrepreneurship story and invited the group to take advantage of all SBA’s products and services.
